How information is collected

For all website visitors

This website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace collects personal data when you visit this website, including:

  • Information about your browser, network, and device

  • Web pages you view while on this website

  • Your IP address

Personal data

Currently, there are a number of ways that personal data is collected from my website. Firstly ‘Form block submissions’, or a ‘web form’ are the way that enquiries are collected (i.e. when you click on ‘enquire’, or ‘book’ in order to contact me).

When you submit information to this website via web form, we collect the data requested in the web form in order to track and respond to your submissions.

The second way is if you subscribe to my newsletter. You are providing your first and last name and e-mail address. You are subscribing to a marketing e-mail list, which is also powered by Squarespace within its ‘marketing campaigns’ function.

You can unsubscribe from these e-mails at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with Squarespace, our email marketing provider, so they can send these emails on our behalf.

Similarly, when purchasing online Pilates classes, you are submitting your first and last name and e-mail address.

Any personal data or information that is e-mailed to me is held in strict observance of General Data Protection Regulation (2018) guidelines that relates to the holding of sensitive personal or medical information.

Use of Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies, which are small files or pieces of text that download to a device when a visitor accesses a website or app. For information about viewing the cookies dropped on your device, visit The cookies Squarespace uses.

Participants’ Waiver

By participating, you consent to and agree to release the instructor (Sarah Edwards) from liability according to these terms. Unless notified otherwise (e.g for purchase of online classes) the terms apply to all instruction taken by you with the instructor.

You, the participant accept that:

You are over 18 years of age

You understand that Pilates instruction is a form of physical activity, and all physical activity carries risk.

For ‘live classes’ – i.e face to face, or online in ‘real time’, you have disclosed any pre-existing conditions by completing a PAR-Q Health questionnaire and where appropriate have discussed your physical activity with a medical professional.

You assume full responsibility whilst voluntarily participating in a mat or equipment class at your sole risk.

You must stop your Pilates class if feel unwell or are experiencing pain.

You understand that your instructor is operating within their professional scope as a Pilates Instructor and is not a medical professional.

If you have any enquiries of a medical nature, you should consult with your medical professional and seek their advice.

Pilates is an exercise that combines strengthening, flexibility, mobility and some limited cardio-vascular activity. There are potentially some risks in taking part, e.g. light-headedness, and assume wilfully these risks.
