Hello, I’m Sarah Edwards

At the heart of everything I do is a passion to serve others. With a calm and professional approach, I will put you at ease. I have been practising Pilates for over 10 years and originally practised it to help alleviate lower back pain and to become stronger.

However, the impact was much more than a physical one. I realised in time that Pilates helped me 'press pause' in my busy schedule, reset my mind state, and alleviate my anxiety. With such impactful and long-standing results, I know first-hand the impact that Pilates can have.

I trained with Polestar alongside my then role as a Teaching and Learning Director, and went full-time with my business during the pandemic of 2020 (definitely a leap of faith)! I haven't looked back.

Whilst serving my clients and community through my teaching, I am particularly interested in using Pilates to support positive mental health. Being trained as a Psychological Fitness Specialist I can incorporate elements of this into your studio sessions, and online offerings.

I have lived in Solihull since 1995 with Ken (who also practices Pilates, and was my online model for much of lockdown!) and we have two sons, Sam and Henry.

My garden Pilates studio is my sanctuary, and yours

I built my Garden Studio in 2022 (whilst navigating a breast cancer diagnosis). I am passionate about Garden design and the value of green spaces for mental health. The studio became my sanctuary as I underwent 2 major surgeries, and I'm pleased to say I was given the all-clear at the end of 2022. Pilates helped my physical and mental health throughout this episode.

Polestar Pilates Qualified and Psychological Fitness Specialist

I am qualified as a Comprehensive Polestar Instructor with Polestar Pilates, which is one of the most highly acclaimed training programmes worldwide. This allows me to work one-to-one with clients on all Pilates equipment, specialising in rehabilitation Pilates and providing positive movement experiences, without pain. I am also a Psychological Fitness Specialist and hold a Doctorate in Education (University of Warwick).
